Customize Notifications (Tray Icons)

For some reason in my tray Icons Customization Properties
I only have "Hide when inactive" available, no other
options in pull down list.

Also my tray icons are larger than normal and the tray
clock is show date as well as time.

Anyone have anysuggestion?

I have since found that i can pick "Always Show" etc with
the arrow keys and enter to select it, but it doesn;t
show the list on mouse click.

But I still have the size and date problems.
