Customization of Outlook Today

In Office 2000, when you display Outlook Today, there is
a "Customize Outlook Today" button at the top-right of the
title. Nothing happens when I click on this button.
Therefore, I cannot customize the appearance of Outlook
Today. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office2000
several times in an effort to solve this problem, but that
doesn't work. I have used the "Detect and Repair"
feature, but that doesn't work, either. Any suggestions?

solved the problem, and it has to do with Critical Update
813489. Thank you.
