Custom size paper for Epson printer

Hello,

Can some one help me with my following problem

I am using windows XP prof., office XP.

Epson LQ-2070 ESC/P 2, and aslo HP LaserJet 4P/4MP PS
printers.

I am unable to choose a "custom size" for any of the
printers. If I want to use a paper of say 9" width and 12"
length I can't. I have to use one of the choices offered
in the printer/properties/Device settings or
printer/properties/advance printing defaults/layout/advance

How to get a choice of say "user defined" of "custom" in
the list of available papaer sizes for given printer.
