Custom animation

Is it possible to generate new animations? The one I particularly want at
the moment is for a re-branding presentation where I want my old business
logo to sort of break up and trickle down as if it's going into a drain.

This can be done fairly easily by creating many pieces of the old logo. I
find this is easiest to do in an outside graphics editor, but can be done by
just making many copies of the old logo and using the cropping tool within
PowerPoint. Once you have all the pieces created, arrange the individual
pieces to overlap and align so that the old logo looks intact, then assign
each of the pieces a custom motion path to animate it's exploding outward
and trickling down the drain. It takes a little time, but can be visually
stunning.

You can mix the set of effects available to you.

Firstly, how do you want the logo to break up? Into half or dissolve?
A simple one would be:
Click Add Effect > Exit > Split (direction: vertical out) / Dissolve out.
Then, click Add effect > Exit > Sink Down.
Set the second effect to Start: With Previous.

Thanks for the prompt responses - one "elegant" solution and the other
workmanlike.

Bob - Crystal Graphics finally contacted me with my issue. Here's their
response. I hope that helps!

Hello Catherine

There seems to be a small problem getting Template files installed to the
correct location. We are investigating the issue. In the mean time , please
try this work - around resolution.

Do you have winrar installed on your system. If NO , then Login to
http://www.download.com/WinRAR/3000-2250-10007677.html and download winrar
3.71. Install . This is a small application. A FREE DOWNLOAD

Copy one of the downloaded template to desktop or download template from
server to desktop.

Select and right click \ select - extract to (template
name)PowerPlugs_Templates_for_PowerPoint.
A new folder is created on desktop. Open folder and check for a file with
..pot extension. Open PPT \ select blank slide \ format \ slide design \
click on the 'browse' option \ from desktop \ open template folder and select
that .pot file \ apply. Template is applied to slides.

If it works fine this way , extract all .pot files in this sequence and copy
all pot files to template folder C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates.
