CURSOR GOING WILD

this has happened more than a couple of times. the cursor will just start
going wild, jumping all over the screen the only way to bring back to normal
is shutting down the system and starting over. even that way you have to shut
down by pressing the button on the computer. unplugging the mouse usb does no
good.
please does anyone have any ideas?

turn it upside down and clean the little led light from dust and other
things...

(if its an optical one)

or the ball if its an older type of mouse..
the ball can be removed usually by rotating a plastic cover.

this also might be a bad cable... the cable of the mouse itself has been
broken...
do you hear any beeps from the pc when it does that strange movment?

new cable and fairly new mouse, no beeps are heard, i think it must be some
defect with vista operating system but as of yet no clue.

Try a different mouse OR order Girls Gone Wild and forget about running
Vista.

Haha.

I think the crazy mouse operation is a function of Vista. Shame on Bill Gates.

Anyway, I made my USB mouse work by changing the BIOS to not support the
legacy mouse garbage.

Hope this helps.
