Cursor flashing in Windows XP

I have a problem with the cursor flashing with a small cd
disk icon after I remove a cd from the cd drive and will
not stop until I reboot. Is there any way to turn this
off? or has anyone seen this problem before?

I have the same 'problem', rather annoying

Changing schemes doesn't fix it and I don't have any VirtualCd thingy (as far as I know), which might cause this (I read somewhere in these newsgroups).
