Current version / definition release of WD (Beta 2)?

My WD version / release is shown as 1.0.0.0 built on 1/25/2006 at 1:29 PM. I
am getting information message that WD definitions have not been updated in
22 days. When I "Check for Updates", I get message "WD found no new
definitions or engine updates available".

How do you know if you have the most current software and definitions loaded
and the software is working properly?

Thanks

Bill

I don't like that Defender shows a yellow "warning" that the definitions are
22 days old when they are the most current version. The smarter thing to do
would be to use the present method of warning that definitions are old, but
reset the warning for a week or two if those really are the most recent
definitions, after which you would be warned that you have not checked for
definitions recently.

If the product is stating defs are 22 days old, they are :) We do not ship
signatures with Beta 2, so users need to download the initial signature file
from Windows Update to reset that counter.

Thanks Steve, exactly what I've been looking for. I've been running WSUS on my
network for some time now, so I didn't even *think* about manually updating WD.
Not gonna let that happen again.

This can also be cross referenced to KB 892519
