Michael said:The DIS suite (Demon Internet Services), based on KA9Q. Not supported
by Demon for many years, but there is a small but expert group of
people who use it and improve it all the time: demon.ip.support.pc
(you will get flamed if you post anything Windows-oriented). I don't
know whether it's freeware, abandonware, or what. It's quite messy to
set up and use, particularly if you don't have a Demon account. I
have long had a setup which lets me handle mail and news, though I
rarely use it. 100% virus- proof (unless you save and open files). I
don't know if it has been adapted to use an ADSL connection, but
would expect so.
I expect you'd get a friendly reception in dispc if you ask.
