newsreader to read your information channels.

Overview:
nntp//rss is a Java-based bridge between RSS feeds and NNTP clients,
enabling you to read your favorite RSS syndicated content within your
existing NNTP newsreader. RSS feeds are represented as NNTP newsgroups,
providing a simple, straightforward and familiar environment for news
reading. "

I was really impressed with it. It installed like greased lightning and
seems to be working quite well with OE+WXPHSP1. The only quirk I've noticed
so far is when at the web interface and attempting to add a feed to OE it
added the feed into a completely new entry rather than the existing entry
for the news/rss server. I think this may have been due to the fact that I
labeled my server entry in OE as something other than my computer's name.

This is just tremendous... I was trying to figure out what I'm going to do
about all this RSS stuff, since I prefer using a newsreader (Xnews). Also,
it doesn't seem to be advertised on the project web page but the license is
GNU GPL.

Fantastic, I'm going to try installing this on my Linux server so I have a
permanent place to find RSS feeds :)

I've installed a Firefox extension called SAGE - A lightweight RSS and
ATOM feed aggregator. It seems a lot simpler to me.
