Curious About PrismXL.sys

This process runs on my computer. The file is in Program Files | Common
Files | Lanovation.
When I look it up on the Web I find a software application that I do not
recognize. It has something to do, I think, with installing programs on a
network.
Can anyone enlighten me, particularly as to how this got on my computer, and
whether it serves some vital purpose?

Looks like you installed something using its Prism Deploy package.

Possibly the Gateway installation of its own package of programs and
drivers?
The only things I've installed are Word 2003 and NAV 2004. Could it be one
of those? Would there be any reason to keep it running forever?
