Ctrl Q shortcut wont work in Outlook Mail

When viewing e-mailsin the preview pane the keyboard shortcut 'Ctrl Q: Mark
As Read' doesn't respond. To the best of my knowledge, all other shortcuts
appear to work fine.
I have even run a 'Repair' with but still with no joy. Help gratefully
appreciated.
