ctrl+enter

i had some spyware on my server (win2k3). The spyware has
been removed however, it was adshooter.searchforit. When i
use ctrl+enter to tag on www. .com to a website i want to
go it still uses searchforit. I have used spybot and
adaware, norton antivrus. Is there a way to tell IE6 what
to do when ctrl+enter command is given. Any help is
appreciated.

I had the same problem and this fixed it for me.

Using Regedit, browse to the following registry key and
make sure the noted setting is correct:


[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersio
n\Explorer\AutoComplete]

"Append Completion"="yes"

You will also see the following values:

"Use AutoComplete"="yes"

"AutoSuggest"="no"

I changed that registry key to yes and it had no effect. I
am running win2k3. Any other suggestions are appreciated.
