Address Bar & <Ctrl>-<Enter>

any clue why using ctrl+enter(to auto-fill in the "www." and ".com") feature
upon entering a site name in the address bar is not working? i have win xp
and ie6. on my other machines with the same system, it works fine. have i
turned off a switch somewhere? thanks.

Hi,
First, enable Inline Autocomplete in Internet Options> Advanced.

Then, if necessary, run regedit and navigate to the following registry key.
Verify that the value (right pane) is correct.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoCo
mplete]
"Append Completion"="yes"

Also verify that these values are correct:
"Use AutoComplete"="yes"
"AutoSuggest"="no"
