Sal,
AutoCorrect feature can correct common errors. For example, if you
accidentally type "htp://" or "http:\\" instead of "
http://," Internet
Explorer 5 and 6 can automatically correct the error as soon as you click Go
or press ENTER.
To turn on the inline AutoComplete feature for Web addresses, follow these
steps in Internet Explorer:
1.. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2.. Click the Advanced tab.
3.. Under Browsing, click the Use inline AutoComplete for Web addresses
check box, and then click OK.
If this does not help, open Registry (regedit.exe) and goto the following
key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL\DefaultPref
ix
In the right-pane, set the data for the value "default" to "http://"

Installed latest service pack for IE6 and now the shortcut
CTRL+ENTER (which adds www and .com to a typed address in
the address bar)just takes me to Microsoft's MSN Search
page. THAT SUCKS. Any ideas how to get the shortcut to
work other than an uninstall/re-install?
