Ctrl Alt Del

In Win98SE, by using Ctrl Alt Del, I could quickly see what processes /
applications were running - how do I do this in Win XP Home ?

I apologize in advance for such a simple question, but it's driving me mad
!!

Same way, though it may bring up a selection menu that includes Task Manager
depending on how your logon is set. Alternate ways to bring up Task Manager
are hitting ctrl+shift+escape, and right clicking the taskbar.

If you are unable to bring it up, then there is a chance you may be infected
with a virus. Several of them disable this and other system tools. Scanning
your system in Safe mode with an updated program may be in order.

Say as with Windows 98 Ctrl Alt Del same process. It brings up the task
manager then select the tab/option you want. It is a more comprehensive
version of the Windows 98 equivalent.

You should see four tabs:

Applications
Processes
Performance
Networking

Applications or Processes is probably the options you are asking about as
they are most like the Windows 98 task list.
