ctrl alt del menu

when you press ctrl alt del you are supposed to get a menu
that has the options: lock computer, task manager,
shutdown and many others. when I first installed XP
(fresh from a reformat) I got it but any time after that i
haven't been able to get that menu when I press ctrl alt
del. all it does is bring up task manager. how can I get
that menu back so when I press ctrl alt del it will come
up?

You need to have the "welcome screen" disabled to get this menu. Go to
start>control panel>user accounts>change the way users log on and off and
then change the settings that you want.

this will bring up the menu when you press ctrl+alt+del, but if you need to
get to the task manager just press ctrl+alt+esc

hope it helps

Depends on if you are using the Welcome Screen, etc. Go to Start/Run:
control userpasswords2
Advanced/Secure Logon.
