Ctrl+Alt+C

What does this do? My computer has been acting up
lately, but when my friend said to try that it just
started running smoothly again.

It brings up my calculator, only cos I told it to.

Doesn't do anything by default. maybe some program on your computer uses
these hot keys, but I would think its more of a coincidence.

When you have a shortcut you can right click it, choose Properties. Click
the shortcut tab. Any letter (like "C") that you put in the shortcut key
window will automatically have Ctrl-Alt placed before it and will now read
Ctrl-Alt-C. Your friend may have a program that he uses to fix problems
with his computer and has a shortcut to it for which he has previously made
a shortcut key of "C".

For him, clicking Ctrl-Alt-C will execute his shortcut to run his program.
For you it will do nothing until you establish a shortcut key of C for some
program's shortcut icon. Then it will run that program.
