After removing some corrupt Ram that caused a total crash
in XP we have reinstalled everything and the computer
appears to be fine until I attempt to download and
install updates from the website. The files download
just fine and the install beings. After about 20 minutes
I get a set up error message that says "Set up could not
verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure
the cyrptographic service is running on this computer".
Any information on what this is and how to fix it?
Please email me,
Thanks

Hi

Your Cryptographic Service is most likely running fine, renaming or deleting
the Catroot2 folder is most likely what you need to do to solve the problem.

Take a look here:

The Catroot2 problem can be avoided in the future by installing Q817287.
