i have no sound on my dell latitude. i tried contacting
dell, but they were of no assistance. my laptop has a
Crystal WDM Audio Codec. i recieved this computer after it
was loaded with windows xp proffesional. i believe it
originally had windows 95 or 98. the sound did originally
work. i still get the error 'beep', but that is all.
whenever i try and use sound i get error message code 12,
telling me i have not enough resources available. i
checked under device manager and there are no conflicting
resources. i downloaded all relavent windows updates, but
none solved my problem. i believe all i need is an updated
driver which is compatible with xp, but as of now i can't
find it, although i have been told there is one out there.
it was not; however, on the windows xp update driver site.
please offer assistance. thank you.
