Crypt32 corrupted?

Howdy all,

I'm trying to run the RPC update patch and my system is
telling me that my cryptographic yadda yadda and is
unable to verify my "update.inf". When I check to see if
the service is running... it is. I've tried stopping and
restarting the service, it stops and starts ok, but it
does not help. If I look at the event viewer there was
an error reported for my Crypt32 service failed to
initialize one time last month.
