Windows spell checker is American but I don't rely on Microsoft as a credible source. Do you?

probably so..yet here in the UK no one plays soccer (its Football) lost in translation ...Australia though is a pretty big country (with attitude) and they love grasshoppers (sorry cricket)..

Hey, don't forget us!
There may not be many of us, but we've whopped your asses a few times

Oh... & over here we don't play 'football' or 'american football' (which as far as I can tell is pretty much rugby with body armour?)
We play rugger & ...soccer

Kinda what it looks to me. Those guys(rugby players) look tough as heck as well. :D

Don't tell the other Americans here but I hate American football. Too bad the satellite charges an arm & leg to watch the cool football matches.

lol, don't tell anyone over here, but I don't like Rugby
& That's a hanging offence over here!
The essence of Kiwi 'culture' is "ruby, racing & beer"
Actually, I don't like racing & beer either
Guess I'd better go hide

The joke in the first post by Rush is typically british humour and Rugby in my opinion is also a joke. All you see is bodies piling up on each other, the the football they are supposed to play with hardly gets any airtime.

lol, Thank you rush :D

So, when you coming over for a visit then?

By the way (& sorry to hijack the thread a bit)

But John's been getting really homesick & is hoping that somehow we'll be able to afford to get over to the UK sometime next year & he suggested that maybe we could all have some big get together or something, somewhere around Chester I think he suggested? Or somewhere else middleish, accessible, & decorative. We'll be a long time saving & ain't a definite of course (I still have no idea where we're going to get ahold of the money), but if anyone might be interested it could be cool?

Subject: Fw: Magistrates Court - Barking.

Subject: Magistrates Court - Barking.

Court ruling from Barking Magistrates Court
A seven year old boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama this morning
when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially
awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with the child custody law and
regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree
possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more
than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge
suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they
also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that
domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took
the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have
custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare
officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the England Cricket Team,
whom the boy firmly believes are "not capable of beating anyone."

Apparently the boy has now been made a ward of court following rumours he has made regarding his new carers . A statement issued under paragraph 3 , line 17 citing " circumstances relating to the care of the child(ren) will be for a trial period of 1 month and at any such time will the agreement be retracted".
The boy whom cannot be named for legal reasons started rumours that his new carers were no better than his family !!.
The Judge close to tears confirmed the rumours as true and in a statement issued earlier today said...

"It is true what the boy says...." The English Cricket team have been found guilty of Beating someone":thumb:
