Cruel won't run on Windows XP

I have attempted to use a Google Group recently about running the
Cruel card game in Windows XP, but there was no resolution. I'm
going
to use a few Google Groups again.

I have downloaded the Cruel card game and have Windows XP. When I
run
the file, I keep getting the message that the game "cannot load in
the
16-bit Windows subsystem because it is a Win32 DLL.


Would someone please help me on this one? Thank you very much.

One solution is to get the freeware "Solitude for Windows". It has
Cruel along with 90 other solitaire games.
