crossover of files

How do I transfer files from windows 98 to xp, I have a
crossover cable but that's as far as I have gone. Thanks
 
From XP, run the File and Settings Transfer Wizard (Start - all programs -
accessories - system tools). It will give you the option of creating a disk
to run on your Windows 98 machine to handle the transfer. Alternately, you
can run the wizard directly from the Windows XP CD on your old machine.
