Cross Reference to a specific page

I am trying to insert a cross reference (in a footnote) to a specific page
number. But when going to insert-->cross reference-->heading-->page number,
no pages or numbers are displayed.
How can I do it?

This suggests that there are no headings in your document formatted with
Word's built-in heading styles. You can bookmark the heading in question and
insert a PageRef to the bookmark.
