Crl+alt+del window strange

I have windows XP...
When I pressed crl+alt+del yesterday the window didn't look the way it used to. I can only see the running-activity window, but the menu where I can swich to e.g. running processes is gone. In short I only see a window where my running programs are displayed together with the buttons "end activity, new activity and change to".
Since I had the computer a year I find it somewhat odd.

Is there an easy solution?

Double-click on the border of the Task Manager, and you can get the Task
Manager to return to the normal mode.
