How do I get this "free software repair patch from its (Microsoft) website
Please give detailed instructions: I have used a PC for 15 years, but I am no techie
I have signed-on to the MicroSoft service, but see no "Alert" since the one for MyDoom
Where do I find the patch that I so urgently need

Just click the Link "Windows Update" from your START control and it will
take you there, look at what version OS you are using and then give you the
option to download them.
