Critical Updates wont download."not XP approved"

Critical updates for Windows XP won't downoad. Getting
message that they are not XP approved!!! What gives??
Micrsoft updater detects that I need the newest security
updates. (5 in all) I have Microsoft XP, they are
Microsoft Updates,from a microsoft website,but the
message indicated that the updates are not XP approved..

Please advise!!
