Got a little problem I'm hoping someone could explain how to fix. On
Monday the 16th I broke down and finally updated to Window Media
player 9. Next day my auto-update alerted me to a critical update
(KB828026) and I installed it. No reboot required. Next day on the
18th I get yet another auto alert for the exact same update. Again, I
install it and it completes successfully. Guess what on the 19th?..
sure enough it pops up yet AGAIN! and that this point I go to the
website directly and have it scan my system. It comes up with the same
damn update and once again.. I've got it installed and successful. My
history shows each day logged and installed.
EVERY SINGLE DAY I GET THIS ALERT THAT I NEED TO UPDATE IT.
I havn't attempted to un-install the WM9 update yet, thinking that
it's part of the o/s and can't really do it. Is this the way I'm going
to fix this ANNOYING problem?
Thanks for any help :
