"Critical" security flaw

Lee

I use the Windows XP home edition. Periodically, I get
automatic updates, which I always install. I understand
that a new "patch" is available to correct the newly-
discovered "critical security flaw" in windows. Am I
covered with the auto downloads or do I need to go to MS
and download the patch?

Lee,

It will eventually be detected by the auto-download mechanism.

Dont' wait - just apply directly.

Critical security bulletin patches are alway available
from the automated source of Windows Update, and
now they are coordinated so that when the bulletin is
released it should be available there.
