critical error 101

go to a command prompt, change to the the directory with
the files in it 'C:\program files\microsoft antispyware
and run gcasdtserv.exe /regserver. This should fix yrou
problem.

i have tried this and i am still getting the critical
error.

I don't have a fix for you. There is a sequence of things to try in the
Help file for the product--search on Known issue, I believe.

Aside from getting help, you can help Microsoft with this one, if you are
able:

Please send your errors.log file, or, if it is large, delete/rename it, and
send one from a single attempt to start the machine and run Microsoft
Antispyware to:

(e-mail address removed)

Microsoft is interested in these log files, to be certain that they
understand the range of issues that give rise to this error message.
