Mikie

This is my second request..hoping to find that someone who would have
an answer, instead of the idiotic sarcasm that I often get if my
question has a slight flaw in it, such as a mispelled word. Anyway...

When I click on START, TURN OFF COMPUTER, I immediately get a dialog
box with a message that states, direct quote...."RECENT is a Windows
System Folder and is required for Windows to run properly. It cannot be
deleted"

I press OK, and then TURN OFF, and I'm on my way out without any
further problems.

I have no programs running in MS CONFIG except for GOBACK, NORTON
INTERNET SECURITY, and a small Cookies killer called, "CPAL" I know
that I have no file cleaning programs running at all. Any takers?

Help? No big deal, just a little nuisance !!!

Mike

Possible that you may have some type of Spyware/trojan that is trying to
remove that folder. Get a couple of good spyware cleaner utilities and check
to see if this is the case.

A quick search using Google revealed that this problem has been seen
many times elsewhere. This link:

http://netscape.com.com/5208-6142-0.html?forumID=5&threadID=136683&messageID=1538033

reckons it was caused ny trojans.

What was wrong with the two replies to your first post about this?

(If you don't want sarcastic replies, don't use sarcastic subjects like "Who
put the P-U in my computer?".)

Please try unchecking CookiePal in MSCONFIG, reboot, and see if you get the
error message.
