Creative device failed

Hi all . when ever I try to run any of my games just recently I get an
direct x error which reads "Creative device failed" . Ive tried going through
the help and support to which all the checks on th 3d graphics, sound and all
the other tests have all said that their all working ok!!!!!. Im not to sharp
on the computer so could you may it clear and easy to resolve my problem
please .
