Creative CD-ROM problem

I retro fitted my old Creative CD3620E drive to my new PC
which has Windows XP. It works in basic form but the
infra red facility doesn't. The old driver on the CD
supplied does not work with XP and Creative say they
haven't created a driver to make this old CD-ROM work
with XP. Does anyone know anyone who has????
