Creating Survey

I have a question and I am not even sure this is the right area to post. I am very knowledgeable with Excel, including VBA, I also know my way around Access. I know Word and the VBA associated with it. I am new to Outlook though

I have been asked to try and put together a survey (on our new scheduling system), that can be e-mail out to our workforce, that can then be automatically tabulated. All of our computers use outlook for e-mail, and this is where everyone checks their e-mail. I have tried some things already, mainly playing around with the radio buttons from the control toolbar, but have found that the security setting disable them, and these are set by the network and cannot be changed. It disables all the Acitve X controls

I realise this is probably more involved than anybody may want to answer here. I have no problem (and actually enjoy) doing the research on this stuff. It is a fun challege to find powerful uses for office products, but I am not sure what direction I can go with this or if it will even be possible

If anybody has the time to at least let me know if this is going to be a workable situation, and also some direction (i.e. ideas) of general ways to maybe go about it, and maybe suggestoins on resources that I can get the best information from, it would be greatly appreciated. All of our systems use WindowsXP and Outlook 2002

Thanks for any ideas you may hav

Jim

Are you working in an Exchange mail environment? If not, the only way to do
a multi-question survey using Outlook would be to install a custom form on
each user's machine.

Yes, we are working in an Exchange Mail Environment. Since this is the case, what suggestions do you have? I am not sure how to go about this

Thank

Ji

If you're using Exchange, then you might want to try Scott Bradley's survey
form from http://www.outlookcode.com/d/forms/survey.htm . Publish it in the
Organizational Forms library with the "Send form definition with item" box
unchecked.
