Creating POT files ADVANCED FEATURES. Need help!! PPT 2003

Hi, I need to build PPT templates (pot files). And I have read online about
how to open the master slide and inserting master titel and how to edit
these to create your own templates with images and such.

I need to go deeper than this.

In PPT 2003 you have when creating a new document on the right side all the
differetn blank templates. Text layouts, Content layout, Text and content
layout...and such. These have something called Format Placeholders where you
click a button to insert picture, tables, graphs and such. In the master
view you also see text boxes have definitions typed in the lower right
corner. "Title area for AutoLayouts", "Object area for AutoLayouts"..and so
on. How do you define these areas if you want to make a new one? In normal
view when you click these, the text goes away to make room for your text,
how do you make this in Master view?

If i chooe a template on the right side from the Text and Content Layouts
and go to view - master style I just see the standard master style layout.
How do you create a template withe a Format placeholder? How do you get them
to show up on the right side when you start a new document?

I need to create templates that has predefine colors of charts, tables and
such. So the user has no creative input, just uses the company colors.

I find the tools for creating POT files as explained online is to limited.
As if there is two steps in doing thins. First step is done at Microsoft,
and then we the end user gets step nr 2, where we can make changes to
background color and font, but not to the really important stuff.

So, can anyone point me in the direction I need to go to make these kind of
documents. I have found some books at amazon that MIGHT help, but I can only
hope. So if you have any experience with these books and know they only
cover basic POT file production let me know! These are the books I am
thinking of:

Microsoft Office Document Designer: Your Easy-to-Use Toolkit and Complete
How-To Source for Professional-Quality Documents

ISBN: 0735620377

Microsoft Office 2003 Inside Out

ISBN: 0735615128

Office 2003 Bible

Thanks for any help!
