Creating Pages in Access 2000

When I create a page in Access using one of the wizards, it works fine, but
when I save the page and reopen it, Access did save the links. In the window
where it shows you the tables, etc, it will say database with a red x next to
it. And the page will be completely blank even though it was showing a "form"
that the wizard created. Obviously I'm missing a step but I don't know what.
If I click on database and then choose connections, I can pick my table and
test the connection, but I still don't get the page back?

Maybe part of my problem is that I'm using a 2002 book to work with access
2000. I would like to upgrade to 2002, but I have to keep 2000 on my pc so
that I can work with some application that were written for us. Are there any
issues with having both 2002 and 2000 on the same pc.

Thanks.

I did notice that before I save, I have the following properties under the
data tab
DataFormatAs
RecordSource
ResynCommand
UniqueTable

but after I save there is only
DataFormatAs

Also the navagation bars just display with the little missing picture icon
the IE displays when a link is broken
