creating non editable ppt file for sending as mail attachment-pps

I keep receiving pps file as attachments, which open as a slide show directly
and exit. NON editable.
I wish to convert my ppt presentation to such files for sending across

Rename the .pps to .ppt.

Alternately, open PowerPoint.
Then click File > Open. Select the .pps file you want to open.
Click File > Save as.
Under Save as type, select Presentation.
Click OK.

Save as Show rather than Presentation

or

Save normally then change the file's extension from .PPT to .PPS

Note that PPS files are quite easily editable.
Start PPT, choose File, Open and open the PPS file.
