Creating new volume/partitioning Hard Disk

Hello there,

I am trying to install a second operating system on my
laptop, i currently have Windows XP professional running
on file C:\Windows.

I would like to create a partition/new volume out of my
hard disk so i can install windows 2003 server on there i
could not see an option to create a new volume?

any help will be highly appreciated, thanks a lot!

If your current xp partition is using the whole volume,
it's not possible using windows tools to shrink it and
create a new partition.
You'll need a third-party program such as
partition magic.

All the hard disk will be in use by the present partition or partitions.
To make a separate one you have either to start over from scratch,
deleting them, or use third party partitioning software like Partition
magic or BootIT NG.

Are you *sure* you want to put a server system on a *laptop*? - it
sounds very unsuited to being a server
