CREATING MACROS IN POWERPOINT TABLE

Hi! I am trying to create a macro that will automatically Ctrl Tab within a
table so I don't have to do it each time I have an entry. Dealing with lots
of decimal tabs within numerous tables and this is very time consuming. I've
tried to record a macro to do this and when I press CTRL TAB it does not do
anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Lisa

One solution is to create the tables in Word where its much easier to work
with decimal tabs - then use insert > object> from file to get it into ppt.

Hi John - Thanks for getting back to me. We have a huge amount of tables and
are using a software that automatically puts all the tables from Word into
PowerPoint for us without having to cut and paste each one - the only problem
is it does not keep the tab settings. We still want to use this software
since it makes the job of bringing the data in much faster, but need to have
decimal tabs set in columns because we have numbers that then have letter
codes that follow them at times. So I was thinking maybe a macro to set
decimal tabs and actually activate the tabs (Ctrl tabbing through). Not sure
if possible.

If you do like John suggests, and insert you tables as objects, each time
you update the Word file the PowerPoint slide will also update
