creating cd's

I do not understand what is going on. If you could please
tell me if i have done something wrong cause the music i
am wanting to listen to was from a friends cd collection
I just want to be abe to make a tape for my car cause i
am going on a long trip and i do not know how to make cd's
I was trying to just to make a tape. Could you please
allow me to or is it not legal. I wasn't trying to do
anything wrong just wasn't sure how to make a cd and it
seems that you are not going to let me and that is fine.
Do i need to do something different? I am really new to
all this computer stuff. Please Help

You don't even need a computer - record direct from your hi fi set onto a
cassette.

Legal ? Who cares ???? (RIAA maybe .......)
