creating bootable mirror of hard drive

If I install an extra hard drive in my PC, how do I
configure it to be a bootable mirror of my existing boot
disk? I want to be able to do a complete image copy for
backup purposes and then boot from the new drive in case
of a disaster.This should be quicker than using external
tape/CD-RW etc devices.

If your motherboard support RAID you can do this, or you
need to purchase a third party program such as norton
ghost to make an image of your hard drive which can then
be stored on your new hard drvie.

I use a product called Casper xp. Their prior product was called
drive2drive, it was for 95/98/me. I'm happy with it and it runs out of
windows not the command line.
