Creating an Autocorrect entry

I regularly mistype the first person singular personal pronoun as lower case
"i" rather than upper case "I". I'd like to set up an autocorrect which
would trap an "i" which is preceded and followed by a space. In other
words, not an "i" in the middle of a word. I've tried a couple of ways
without success. Please advise.

This is already a standard AutoCorrect entry in all versions of Word. If
it's not working for you, then either (a) you don't have "Replace as you
type" checked in the AutoCorrect dialog or (b) you've deleted the entry. To
recreate it, type i on the left side and I on the right and click Add.
AutoCorrect only works for whole words, so you needn't worry about
corrections in the middle of a word.
