Hello,

I am running WinXP Pro and do a lot of saving of pictures from web sites.

When I right click on an image and hit "Save Picture As", it opens a window
for My Pictures. That window also has a few shortcuts on the left panel. I
would like to create a shortcut on the left panel that goes the folder where
I save most of these pictures.

Does someone know how to create your own shortcut on the Save Picture As
window?

Thanks a lot,

Bob

You can use Powertoys.and download TweakUI
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

then

then go to Common Dialog>Places Bar and customize your shortcuts.

Thanks William. I have TweakUI and found that I could do it by pointing My
Pictures to the relevant file. However, it does not permit you to select any
file to add to the menu. You have to select from a set of 10 existing
folders.

Does that sound right to you?

Thanks Again,

Bob

Hi Bob,

You can use TweakUI to add/remove places in the Open/Save As dialog.
Download TweakUI from here:

TweakUI v2.00 for Windows XP/XP MCE [564 KB].
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

TweakUI v2.10 for Windows XP SP1/XP MCE/2003 [147 KB].
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

-or-

Using Group Policy editor in Windows XP Professional

Type GPEDIT.MSC in the RUN box. Navigate to:
User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Components |
Windows Explorer | Common Open File Dialog
Double-click Items displayed in Places Bar and add the places in the text
boxes

You can vary the places (which will apply to any Save As, so don't
overdo it) with TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its Common Dialogs - Places bar, select Custom, and adjust
