Creating a semi-modifiable form?

I am in the process of constructing a report form for my department, but am
running into some minor roadblocks. The most difficult example of this has to
do with optional tables - I need to be able to have a table that can be
filled out if necessary, but that won't show up on the final print-out of the
form unless data has been entered into it. Is there a way to do this in Word?

Thanks so much for any assistance!

Not easily and not without vba. It would entail collecting your data in a
userform (or forms) and creating a document based on the data collected.
