creating a rule in Outlook 2000

I wish to create a rule to move a message based on the CATEGORY of the sender
(assigned in my CONTACTS folder)

I currently have many, many rules based on SENDER which accomplishes this
task, but whenever I get a new contact, not only do I have to save them in my
CONTACTS folder (and assign a CATEGORY for sorted viewing), I have to go into
the rules wizard and add that contact to the appropriate rule. If I could
base the rule on Category (or something similar) then I could eliminate the
rule modification step in this process.

Can anyone help me?

Great idea but Outlook can't do it that way. If you tell us which version
etc - I may have a work around approach for you.
