Marv

Hi,

Is there a low free or low cost way to create a compiled help file (.chm)
for the 30-50 procedure documents I wrote in MS Word?

Thanks for your help.

John,

Thanks for the response.

Since I have no experience in using this type of program it appears that all
the files I include in the program have to be HTML. If this is true how do I
convert all the Word Doc to HTML?

Thanks,

Marv

Um, how about using Word itself?

- File -> Save As and selecting HTML
- File -> Save as Web Page

Word does add a fluff to an HTML document. For one, it adds a ton of
directives inside the HTML code that only Word will understand (so if
Word is used to open the .html document then it can use these
directives). There are many programs that will cleanup Word's HTML
output; see http://www.google.com/search?q=+word++html++clean.

Thanks.

I will try your suggestions and then spend some more time learning how to
use the Help generation programs
