Create shortcut to Word in Navigation pane in Outlook 2003

In previous versions of Outlook, you could create shorcuts to just about
anything. How do you do it in Outlook 2003?
 
Create a shortcut on the desktop, then drag it to the Shortcuts navigation pane.
