Outlook 2007 - Disappearing Shortcuts

hi - there seems to be a bug with Shortcuts in Outlook 2007, running on
Exchange Server 2003.

If you create any duplicate shortcuts in the Navigation Pane, they just
vanish after closing and re-starting Outlook 2007 (the original shortcuts do
survive). This did not happen with Outlook 2003. Quite annoying.

Reset your Navigation Pane and try again;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /resetnavpane

Just click on "Add New Shortcut" & select any pst or public folder (haven't
checked other types). Repeat and select the same folder as a shortcut again
so it appears twice in the list of shortcuts. Close Outlook and re-open (I
use QuickLaunch). In my application, the shortcut duplicates vanish! Hope
this helps.

Same here. Just curious; why would you want duplicates in the first place?

v.useful - I have a long list of shortcuts from a corporate network, but also
a local pst folder shortcut at both top and bottom of the list. The pst is
used for storing emails locally to be indexed by desktop search. It makes
navigation much easier to have a choice between going to the top or bottom of
my shortcut list when dragging & dropping emails to the pst folder!

Same here. Just curious; why would you want duplicates in the first place?
