Greetings all,

Is there a way to create a shortcut to open a link in a browser other than
the default?
My default browser is IE but there are some sites that I prefer to use
Firefox with. How can I create a shortcut that will open those sites with
Firefox rather than the default IE browser?
thanks

You can create a shortcut to firefox and pass the URL as a parameter. For example, to create a shortcut on your desktop to open google.com in firefox. Right click on the desktop and select New, Shortcut. In the box that comes up, brows to the location for firefox.exe, probably "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe". Select that, click OK, then in the location box put in a space, then http://google.com. Click Next and give the shortcut an appropriate name or it will default to firefox.exe. Finish, then double click the shortcut. Ah!

You can also copy and existing shortcut to firefox and just edit the properties to pass the URL as a parameter.
