Suppose I've got a file opened with Word or Notepad, and decide I'd
like a shortcut to that file on my desktop or even in my Start menu.

The only ways I know how to do this are to either go to Windows
Explorer and wade through a series of subfolders until I find that
particular file and then drag it to the Start button or the desktop.
Or to launch "Search" from the Start menu to search for the file name,
and then drag the file from the Search results window to the Start
button or to the desktop.

Is there a way I can drag a shortcut directly from the file's open
window directly to the desktop or the Start button, without having to
go through the intermediate step of running Windows Explorer or Search?
